Weather in Istanbul follows a “cold winter, hot summer” pattern with mild spring and fall weather.

Winter weather in Istanbul is cold, with lots of rain, wind, and snow. While winter weather temperatures don’t fall too far below freezing, it is a good idea to bring heavy winter clothes with you if you are visiting Istanbul in the winter.

Summer weather in Istanbul is hot and humid. Temperatures rise into the 80′sF (high 20′sC) and rainfall is intermittent but not unheard of.

Spring and autumn weather in Istanbul is temperate with rainy periods, so make sure to bring an umbrella when you are visiting Istanbul.
