A new section of track is being laid that will eliminate the stop at Eskisehir and shorten the high speed train time between Istanbul and Ankara to 3 hours.
Overnight Trains from Istanbul to Ankara
Overnight trains from Istanbul to Ankara are called Ankara Express trains. They provide both seats and couchettes for sleeping.
Overnight trains depart from Istanbul Haydarpasa train station three times a day, at 22:00, 22:30 (sleeper), and 23:00. The train journey on the overnight train from Istanbul to Ankara takes 9h12m.
