Dresden Music Festival 2010: May 19 – June 6, 2010

The annual Dresden Music Festival (Dresdner Musikfestspiele) takes place every May in the German city of Dresden. For two and a half weeks, Dresden comes alive with classical music from some of the world’s top orchestras.

If you are visiting Dresden during the music festival, make sure to book tickets for a concert in one of the city’s most beautiful venues: the beautiful Baroque Frauenkirche.

For die-hard fans of classical music, consider combining your trip to the Dresden Music Festival with a trip to the Prague International Music Festival, which runs on almost the same dates as its German counterpart. Only three hours away by train, Prague makes an easy day or overnight trip from Dresden.
