Cross country skiing

Home to several winter Olympics and the famous Dolomites, Italy has some of the best skiing in Europe. While not as well known for its skiing as the French Alps, Switzerland, or Austria, Italy can hold its own with great ski conditions and challenging ski slopes.

Most people that go skiing in Italy choose to go to the ski resorts in the northern part of the country. While there are skiing opportunities elsewhere in Italy, including some ski resorts near Rome, the best skiing in Italy is in the mountains in the north.

To get to the best skiing in Italy, you can take a flight to Turin airport, one of the Milan airports, Venice airport, or Treviso airport. From there, you can take trains or buses to the ski resorts in Italy.
