The travel time from Pompeii to Sorrento is 40 minutes. There are often delays, so give yourself extra time if you have a connection in Sorrento.
Single train tickets from Pompeii to Sorrento cost 1.90 euros. Cheap day return tickets are available if you take a day trip to the Amalfi Coast while visiting Italy. Be sure to validate your ticket before boarding the train.
