Eurostar have a new service that offers trains from London to Aix-en-Provence and other cities in southern France.

The trains from the UK capital run to three cities: Aix-en-Provence, Lyon, and Avignon. Services started in the spring of 2013 following the success of Eurostar’s direct train service from London to Avignon, which operates weekly throughout the summer months.

The trains depart from St Pancras station every Saturday between 2 June and 24 August. The journey time is approximately 6 hours and 15 minutes.

Journeys on trains from London to Aix-en-Provence require a quick change in Lille or Paris. Passengers returning to the UK are able to clear passport control in France before travelling back to the UK.

Fares to Aix-en-Provence are £119 return in Standard class. There is a £4 fee for all credit card bookings, but no charge is made for payments with debit cards.
