Getting tickets to the Wimbledon Tennis Championships takes a lot of patience and starts almost a year in advance of Wimbledon.
Wimbledon tickets are procured through a public ballot system, which is followed by a lottery.
To enter the lottery for Wimbledon tickets, you must request a ballot form between August 1 and December 15 of the prior year from The Ticket Office, AELTC, P.O. Box 98, London SW19 5AE.
When you mail your ballor for Wimbledon tickets, make sure to enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope according to the guidelines. One ballot per household is allowed.
After the December deadline, all ballots are complied and a random draw is done. Successful ballot holders are notified in February. You are not given a choice as to what day or court your tickets are for.
Due to the high demand and the lottery process, discounts on Wimbledon tickets are not available.
If you can’t get Wimbledon tickets through the lottery, you can take the
train or tube to Wimbledon and get
last minute tickets at the gates of Wimbledon on the day of play.
