Buses from Oxford to Heathrow

Buses from Oxford to Heathrow are a great way to get from the famous university town to the London airport without going through central London.

Buses depart from several stops in Oxford, starting at Gloucester Green bay 7, and continuing on to six other stops, the last of which is the Thornhill Park and Ride.

Buses from Oxford to Heathrow arrive at two airport bus stations. One is the Heathrow Central Bus Station (for terminals 1, 2, 3). The other is the Terminal 5 Bus Station (for terminal 5).

If your flight departs from terminal 4, you can take a train from one of the other terminal areas to catch your flight.

Buses from Oxford to Heathrow operate seven days a week. They run to the central bus station from 2:00 until 24:00, and to terminal 5 from 4:00 until 21:30.

Buses depart every 20 to 30 minutes throughout the day. The travel time is 90 minutes during the week and 80 minutes on weekends if there is no traffic.

Tickets for buses from Oxford to Heathrow cost 22 GBP one way and 24 GBP return. Half off discounts are available for children and seniors.


Buses from Heathrow to Oxford

Buses from Heathrow to Oxford are a great way to get from the London airport to Oxford without going through central London.

Buses depart from two airport bus stations. One is the Heathrow Central Bus Station, bay 14A (for terminals 1, 2, 3). The other is the Terminal 5 Bus Station, bay 11 (for terminal 5).

If your flight lands at terminal 4, you can take a train to one of the other terminal areas to catch the bus.

Buses from Heathrow to Oxford run around the clock seven days a week. They depart every 30 minutes from late morning until mid-afternoon. Outside of those times, departures are every 20 to 30 minutes.

Buses take 90 minutes on weekdays and 80 minutes on weekends, depending on traffic.

Tickets for buses from Heathrow to Oxford cost 22 GBP for a single and 24 GBP for a return. 50% discounts are available for seniors and children.


Flights from Oxford to Newcastle

Launched on March 1, 2010, Varsity Express airlines was soon to offer flights from Oxford to Newcastle.

Flights from Oxford to Newcastle on Varsity Express were to begin on April 5, 2010. Initially there was to be one flight a day.

The flights would have operated in an 18 seat BAe Jetstream 31 plane.

Unfortunately, Varsity Express ceased operations shortly after its initial launch, and is not currently operating flights from Oxford to Newcastle.
