Sissinghurst Castle Gardens are some of the most beautiful English gardens to visit in the springtime. Located in Kent, England, Sissinghurst Castle Gardens are only an hour by train from the capital and make for a great day trip from London.

Sissinghurst Castle, a National Trust property, dates back to the middle ages. The remains of the castle and the gardens were made famous by Vita Sackville-West, the former owner, in the twentieth century. Each section of the Sissinghurst Castle Gardens is designed to be a “room” with its own color scheme and character. The result is a stunningly beautiful place to visit throughout the spring and summer.

Sissinghurst Castle has a coffee shop, a restaurant called the Granary, and a garden shop.
