In its 43rd year, the Brighton Festival is a three week long arts and entertainment festival in the city of Brighton. The festival is the largest of its kind in England and features theater performances, dance shows, live music concerts, literature, children's spectacles and outdoor performances.

Brighton makes for a great day trip from London. Just under an hour away from London by train, the city of Brighton is easily accessible and a great escape.

Brighton is on the southern coast of England, and is famous for its rocky beach, its quirky amusement-park pier, its beautiful Regency-style Brighton Royal Pavilion and The Lanes, a set of tiny streets packed full of shops.

Brighton is also known for its great nightlife and vibrant gay and lesbian scene. Pubs, bars and clubs in Brighton are known throughout the country, and people visiting the UK often stop there to drink or dance the night away.
