Cologne Christmas Market
Cologne Christmas Markets dates:
late November to late December
The annual Cologne Christmas Markets are one of the biggest celebrations of the year in Germany.
Cologne has no less than six Christmas markets every year, including the Christmas Market at Stadtgarten, the Old Town Christmas Market, the Christmas Market at Cologne Cathedral, the Cologne Harbor Christmas Market, the Fairytale Christmas Market at Rudolfplatz Square, and the Angel’s Christmas Market at Neumarkt Square.
Cologne’s markets are home to hundreds of Christmas market stalls selling all of the traditional crafts that German Christmas markets are known for, as well as good German food and mulled wine.
Everything from wooden toys to paper lanterns is on sale, and when you’re not shopping you can enjoy music, carousels, ice skating, and Ferris wheel rides. The market at Cologne Cathedral also features the biggest Christmas tree in the Rhineland.
