Many people visiting Oktoberfest have an interest in making a table booking at one of the tents, as this is where most of the classic action takes place. Litres of beer, live music, and more lederhosen than you’ve ever seen all converge inside of the tents at Oktoberfest each year.
While getting a table reservation is a good goal, it is often very difficult to make one. This is because most Oktoberfest tents only offer a limited number of table bookings, and they sell out very quickly.
Corporations are usually the only ones that get tickets, as prices are high and bookings have to be made in large groups (usually 10 or more people).
If you are able to get a table booking at Oktoberfest, you usually have to pay a minimum amount for each person up front. This means that a table booking costs around 600 to 1,000 euros.
If you can’t get an Oktoberfest table booking or don’t want to pay the hefty price for one, you can show up at the tent and wait outside to get in. Arrive early, though, as the wait can often be very long at busy times.
