If there is one place to visit along the road, this is surely it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Harburg<\/strong><br \/>\nA beautiful stone castle on a cliff welcomes visitors to Harburg. The town itself is an idyllic village on the river, with pretty streets full of shops and cafes that can keep you entertained for hours.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schwangau<\/strong><br \/>\nHome to Hohenschwangau castle and nearby Neuschwanstein castle, Schwangau is the perfect base for visiting the most famous castles in Germany. Located near the southern end of the Romantic Road, it is a great place to look forward to as you drive towards it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rothenburg ob der Tauber<\/strong><br \/>\nRothenburg ob der Tauber is arguably the most well-preserved medieval town on the Romantic Road in Germany.
