Many people only make it to Dublin when they are visiting Ireland, but it’s a shame to miss out on the rest of the country. Ireland has some of the most beautiful natural landscapes and coastline in all of Europe, and it is worth a trip to see them.<\/p>\n

As such, here is my list of the top places to visit in Ireland:<\/p>\n

Dingle Peninsula<\/strong>
\nLocated in County Kerry in southwest Ireland, the Dingle Peninsula is a mountainous stretch of land that juts 48 kilometres (30 miles) into the Atlantic Ocean. Most people visit for the stunning cliffs, beautiful beaches, and great surfing.<\/p>\n

Cork<\/strong><\/a>
\nCork is one of the most important cities in Ireland. Highlights include the Cork county and city halls, the church tower of Shandon, St Mary’s Cathedral, and St Finbarre’s Cathedral.<\/p>\n

Dublin<\/strong><\/a>
\nIreland’s capital city needs no introduction. From museums and parks to pubs and gardens, there is no shortage of things to do and see there.<\/p>\n

Sligo<\/strong>
\nSligo is a great place to visit in the north of the country. From cultural sites like Sligo Abbey and Dolly’s Cottage to great markets and outdoor adventure travel opportunities, the area has a diverse range of attractions.<\/p>\n

Blarney Castle<\/a><\/strong>
\nBlarney Castle is one of the most famous of its kind in Ireland. This is partly owing to the famous Blarney Stone<\/a>, which is legendary for giving those that kiss it the gift of eloquent speech.<\/p>\n

Aran Islands<\/strong>
\nThe Aran Islands are a group of three islands at the mouth of Galway Bay. They are a great place to visit for those that like outdoor activities and beautiful scenery.<\/p>\n

Galway<\/a><\/strong>
\nGalway is another great place to visit in Ireland. As Ireland’s cultural capital, it hosts many festivals and performances throughout the year.<\/p>\n

Connemara<\/strong>
\nConnemara is a picturesque area on the west coast of Ireland. It is best known for the Twelve Bens mountain range, lake-studded Roundstone Bog, and great Atlantic beaches.<\/p>\n

Limerick<\/strong><\/a>
\nVisitors to Limerick can explore King John’s Castle, St. Mary’s Cathedral, the university, and the Treaty Stone.<\/p>\n

Cliffs of Moher<\/strong>
\nThe Cliffs of Moher are one of the most famous places to visit in Ireland, and are the country’s most visited attraction. When you go, don’t miss the excellent visitors centre.<\/p>\n
