Most hotels in Cinque Terre are boutique accommodations or apartments. You won’t find large chain hotels in the region, as the towns are not large enough for them.
Despite that, there is no shortage of hotels in Cinque Terre, and my favorites are as follows.
Make sure to book well in advance in the high season, as hotels in all five towns fill up very quickly.
Alla Porta Rossa Hotel in Manarola offers beautiful rooms and apartments with bougainvillea-lined terraces overlooking the sea.
Arpaiu Hotel has great rooms and a terrace that is perfect for sunbathing or admiring the views of Manarola and the Mediterranean below.
La Torretta is a great boutique hotel in Manarola that offers beautiful guest rooms with four-poster beds and huge bath tubs.
Camere Giuliano Hotel in Vernazza is a tribute to its owner’s passion. All of the rooms are decorated by him, and guests are given a warm personal welcome when they arrive.
La Mala Hotel is on the luxury end of the spectrum, with an emphasis on design and high-end amenities in the rooms.
Monterosso al Mare
Hotel Margherita in Monterosso al Mare is one of the larger hotels in Cinque Terre. It offers stylish guest rooms and is one of the few hotels in the area that is located close to a car park.
La Colonnina Hotel is in a great location near the main square in Monterosso al Mare. Guest rooms are simple and but elegant, and some have terraces.
Villa Steno Hotel is run by the Pasini family, who offer accommodation amidst private gardens brimming with olive and lemon trees.
La Baia di Rio Hotel in Riomaggiore offers spacious guest rooms, some of which have kitchens and balconies overlooking the town and the sea.
