Manarola is the second southernmost town in Cinque Terre. It is small as the area’s towns go, with the other small town in the region being Corniglia.
Manarola is located right on the water, and the town extends up a steep hill. It is home to some small food shops, secluded accommodations, and good seafront restaurants like Marina Piccola and Trattoria dal Billy.
Manarola is one of the quietest of the five towns in Cinque Terre, so it is a great place to book a hotel if you are looking for a romantic escape or a less touristy destination in the area.
A great choice for accommodation in Manarola is Alla Porta Rossa, which offers beautiful apartments and rooms scattered throughout the hillside. Each apartment has a secluded balcony with sea views, making visitors feel like they are on a private getaway on the coast of Italy.
Manarola does not have a beach, but it does have a rocky concrete area by the water that attracts boaters, swimmers, and sunbathers.
