Taking a train is an inexpensive way to get from the Milan Malpensa airport to the city center. From the airport, you can take the Malpensa Express train from Terminal 1 to multiple destinations in the city, including Milan’s three main train stations: Centrale, Porta Garibaldi, and Cadorna.
Once you get off the train, you can change to the metro, a bus, or a taxi to get to your final destination in Milan.
Trains leave Malpensa airport for the city center every 20 to 60 minutes at peak times. The trip takes 40 to 50 minutes and costs 10 to 11 euros one-way, depending on your final destination. You can buy tickets online before you travel, or at the station or on your smartphone before you board the train.
If you don’t take a train, other ways to get from Malpensa airport to Milan include taking a bus, taxi, or rental car.
