Taking a bus from Rome airport to the Rome city center is a good way to get to your final destination when you arrive in Italy.

A company called SIT runs coaches from Rome Fiumicino Leonardo Da Vinci Airport (FCO) to several places in the city. They operate comfortable, air-conditioned services with large luggage storage areas.

SIT Bus Shuttle services depart from the top of the pedestrian ramp outside of Terminal 3 at the airport. When they reach the city center, buses stop at two destinations. The first is the Piazza Cavour and the second is Rome Termini train station.

SIT buses leave Rome Fiumicino airport starting at 08:30 and ending at 00:30. Buses depart one or two times an hour throughout the day and evening. Return SIT Bus Shuttles leave the Rome city center for the airport starting at 05:00 and ending at 20:30. These buses also depart one or two times an hour throughout the day.

The total journey time on this route is 45 minutes to 1 hour and 5 minutes, depending on traffic, timetables, and whether you get off at Piazza Cavour or Termini.

Tickets for buses from the airport to Rome cost 5 euros one-way or 10 euros round-trip if you buy them online in advance. Otherwise they cost 6 euros one-way or 11 euros round-trip if you buy them at the airport.
