Buses in Rome
Buses from Rome to the Rome Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci Airport (FCO) are a good way to get from the city to your flight when you are leaving Italy.
A company called SIT runs airport buses in Rome. Buses depart from just outside of Roma Termini train station at Via Marsala, 5, as well as from the Piazza Cavour near the Vatican.
Buses depart one to two times an hour. Shuttles leave the Rome city center for the airport starting at 5:00 and ending at 20:30.
The bus journey time to the airport is 45 minutes from Piazza Cavour and 1 hour from Termini, depending on traffic.
Tickets for buses from Rome to the airport cost 5 euros for singles and 10 euros return if you buy them online before you travel. Otherwise they cost 6 euros for singles and 11 euros return if you buy them on the bus.
