Ferries from Sorrento to Capri are the best way to get from the mainland to the island when you are visiting the Amalfi Coast.<\/p>\n

Services on this route run year-round and depart from the Sorrento Marina Piccola ferry port at the bottom of the cliffs in the town.<\/p>\n

SNAV Ferry from Sorrento to Capri<\/strong><\/p>\n

SNAV runs fast hydrofoils on this route. They operate the most ferries to Capri, with up to seven daily departures from Sorrento even in the off-season.<\/p>\n

SNAV ferries are the faster of the two, and their service takes 25 minutes to reach the island. But at 18.10 euros for a one-way ferry ticket to Capri, they are also more expensive. You can buy tickets online in advance or at the port.<\/p>\n

Caremar Ferry from Sorrento to Capri<\/strong><\/p>\n

Caremar ferries run four times a day or more, and cost 14.70 euros for a one-way ferry ticket. <\/p>\n

They travel a bit more slowly than SNAV ferries, and take 30 minutes to get to the island. They tend to book up in advance due to their lower price. If you want to take a Caremar ferry from Sorrento to Capri in the high season, it is a good idea to buy your tickets ahead of time or online before you travel to Italy.
