Ferries from Sorrento to Amalfi are a good alternative to land transportation when you are visiting Italy’s Amalfi Coast.<\/p>\n

Alicost Ferry from Sorrento to Amalfi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Alicost (formerly Alilauro) offers a ferry from the Marina Piccola port in Sorrento to the Amalfi ferry port on the other side of the coast. The trip takes 1 hour each way, and in the high season there are departures at 10:30am and 3:30pm each day.<\/p>\n

Ferry tickets on the Alicost ferry from Sorrento to Amalfi cost 17.00 euros each way. You can purchase tickets at the small booth by the row of shops at the Marina Piccola port or online.<\/p>\n

Coop Sant Andrea Ferry from Sorrento to Amalfi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Coop Sant Andrea also runs ferries from the Marina Piccola port in Sorrento. The trip takes 80 minutes each way, and in the high season there are departures at 10:30am and 3:00pm each day.<\/p>\n

Ferry tickets on the Coop Sant Andrea ferry to Amalfi cost around 15.00 euros each way. You can buy them at the booth by the shops at the port in Sorrento.<\/p>\n

Metro del Mare Ferry from Sorrento to Amalfi<\/strong><\/p>\n

Services between the two towns were also run by Metro del Mare, but the 2014 schedule has not been released, and there are rumors that the company will not operate this year due to financial trouble. <\/p>\n

When running, the company offers a ferry service from the Marina Piccola ferry port in Sorrento to the Amalfi ferry port on the other side of the coast. The trip takes 1 hour and 10 minutes each way.<\/p>\n

Ferry tickets on the Metro del Mare ferry from Sorrento to Amalfi cost 20.00 euros for a single. You can purchase tickets at the small booth by the row of shops at the Marina Piccola port.<\/p>\n

Metro del Mare ferries only operate during the summer months, so you should take alternative transportation if you are traveling on the Amalfi Coast outside of the July to mid-September peak season. Ships get booked up quickly, so if you plan to take the ferry in the high season, buy ferry tickets in advance.<\/p>\n
