Trains from Amsterdam to Keukenhof Gardens are a great way to get to the famous tulip fields in Holland when you are visiting The Netherlands.
Trains on this route depart from Amsterdam Centraal, the city’s main train station. They travel to Leiden, the closest train station to Keukenhof Gardens.
When you get off at the Leiden central train station, follow the signs and the crowds to the main parking lot. There you will find a row of large buses waiting to take passengers to Keukenhof.
Dutch Railways sells a Keukenhof bus ticket that will take you by bus from the Leiden train station to Keukenhof Gardens in about 20 minutes. Coaches depart every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 7 to 10 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays.
Be aware that lines for the bus can be very long. As such, you may want to take a taxi from Leiden station to Keukenhof Gardens and then take the bus on your way back.
