Concessions available.<\/p>\n<p>The Castelo de Sao Jorge in Lisbon is one of the city&#8217;s most important and most visited monuments. It can be seen from all over the city and is one of the top sightseeing spots in Lisbon.<\/p>\n<p>Dating back to the 5th century, the Castelo de Sao Jorge is a dominant feature of Lisbon&#8217;s skyline and an important historical site.\u00a0Both Moors and Christians used the Castelo de Sao Jorge to defend Lisbon against invaders for hundreds of years.<\/p>\n<p>Today the castle complex is better known as a great place to watch the sunset. It is also a fun place to climb the ramparts and see the city from above. The views over Lisbon are stunning, and make for great photo opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>To get to the Castelo de Sao Jorge, you can walk up the steep hill from Rossio.
