The Castelo de Sao Jorge in Lisbon is one of the city’s most important and most visited monuments. It can be seen from all over the city and is one of the top sightseeing spots in Lisbon.<\/p>\n

Dating back to the 5th century, the Castelo de Sao Jorge is a dominant feature of Lisbon’s skyline and an important historical site.\u00a0Both Moors and Christians used the Castelo de Sao Jorge to defend Lisbon against invaders for hundreds of years.<\/p>\n

Today the castle complex is better known as a great place to watch the sunset. It is also a fun place to climb the ramparts and see the city from above. The views over Lisbon are stunning, and make for great photo opportunities.<\/p>\n
