Additionally, there are several shopping streets in the city that are great for retail therapy.<\/p>\n<p>Faro also has great sea transport links for those wanting to visit the beautiful island <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingeu.com\/western-europe\/portugal\/2008\/04\/faro-beaches.html\">beaches<\/a> off the coast, or for people interested in exploring the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingeu.com\/western-europe\/portugal\/2008\/04\/parque-natural-da-ria-formosa.html\">Parque Natural da Ria Formosa<\/a> by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingeu.com\/western-europe\/portugal\/2008\/04\/faro-boat-tours.html\">boat<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The city is also an easy jumping off point for visiting other <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingeu.com\/western-europe\/portugal\/2008\/04\/best-algarve-cities.html\">Algarve cities<\/a>.\u00a0For example, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingeu.com\/western-europe\/portugal\/2008\/04\/trains-from-faro-to-tavira.html\">trains<\/a> from Faro to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingeu.com\/western-europe\/portugal\/2008\/04\/tavira-portugal.html\">Tavira<\/a> run frequently throughout the day. They are an easy way to take day trips if you make Faro your base while visiting the Algarve.<\/p>\n<p>Faro has several great <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitingeu.com\/western-europe\/portugal\/2008\/04\/best-faro-hotels.html\">hotels<\/a> for visitors to choose from, including some with great views of the water.
