Bus to Nendaz

Taking a bus from Sion train station to Nendaz is a great way to travel when you are visiting the canton of Valais in Switzerland. Cheap and efficient, it is a good alternative to renting a car or taking a taxi when your train arrives.

The Sion bus station is conveniently located right outside of the exit of the train station, so you don’t have to walk far to make your connection. Screens hanging from the roof of the bus station will show you the destination of each bus. For Nendaz, look for CarPostal bus 362 with the sign for “Basse-Nendaz” and “Haute-Nendaz”.

Once you have located the correct bus, you can buy your ticket from the driver. Tickets for buses from Sion train station to Nendaz cost 10.80 CHF one-way. The driver can give you change if you don’t have the exact fare.

Buses are modern and comfortable, and there is ample space for luggage in the hold underneath the seating area. There is also free Wi-Fi on board if you want to stay connected during the journey.

Once in Nendaz, the bus makes several stops, including in the center of the town near the tourist information office.

Buses run up to three times an hour between 5:00am and 9:00pm on weekdays, and slightly less frequently on weekends and holidays.
