The UK is famous for the Royal Observatory in Greenwich<\/a>, which is located in the southeast part of London.<\/p>\n

The Royal Observatory is home to the Prime Meridian and is famous for being the location from which Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is kept. Designed in the seventeenth century by the famous London architect Sir Christopher Wren, the neo-Classical Royal Observatory in Greenwich is also a great architectural treasure.<\/p>\n

The buildings themselves are home to numerous interactive exhibits relating to time and astronomy. Entry to the Astronomy Centre is free for all, making it a great cheap day out in London.<\/p>\n

The Royal Observatory in Greenwich also houses the Peter Harrison Planetarium, which visitors can enter for 6.50 GBP.
