Old and a bit in need of a facelift, the Glasgow<\/a> subway system is nonetheless easy to navigate and convenient to use. People visiting Scotland can take the subway around the city to various destinations on the sightseeing trail.<\/p>\n

The Glasgow subway operates on a circular system, with one branch going clockwise and the other going anti- (or counter-) clockwise.<\/p>\n

Tickets for the Glasgow subway can be purchased at all subway stations from kiosks or ticket machines. Adult ticket fares are 1.20 GBP for single tickets and 2.40 GBP for return tickets.<\/p>\n

There are also discounts on Glasgow subway fares. They include: 11.00 GBP for 10 journeys and 20.00 GBP for 20 journeys. A seven-day ticket costs 15.00 GBP, and a one-day travel card on the Glasgow subway costs 3.50 GBP.
