The city of Plzen:
Plzen (Pilsen in English), the capital of West Bohemia, was founded by the King Wenceslas II in 1295. Plzen is known for being the home of the famous Czech beers Pilsner Urquell and Gambrinus.
Plzen is also home to the 102.26m (335 feet)-tall St. Bartholomew Cathedral spire, the highest church spire in the Czech Republic.
Additionally, Plzen boasts of having the third largest synagogue in the world.

Opened in 1842, the Pilsner Urquell brewery is the most famous landmark in Plzen. Tours are available at the Pilsner Urquell brewery. During the tour, visitors can drink unfiltered, un-pasteurized Pilsner Urquell directly from the barrel.
Though not the only brewery in the world with the name Gambrinus, the Gambrinus brewery in Plzen is the most famous. Visitors can take tours of the brewery and taste the beer.
