The City of Reims:
Reims (EN: Rheims), a northern French city, is located about 90 miles northeast of Paris. Historically the site where French kings were crowned, today Reims is better known for its cathedral and its champagne. The city itself is small, walkable, and easily accessible from Paris by train.

On the outskirts of town, the Romanesque church of Saint Remi is well worth the trip. A Benedictine abbey church, the Saint Remi Basilica contains a collection of stained glass windows from the 1300’s and a beautiful organ.

Many visitors are attracted to Reims because of its location in the heart of Champagne. If you are interested in imbibing the bubbly, many champagne houses do tastings and host tours of the caves.
