Buses from Sorrento to the Amalfi Coast are run by the Italian bus company Sita. Sita runs regular buses from Sorrento to cities like Amalfi, Positano, and Praiano.
Buses leave from the Sorrento bus station opposite the Sorrento Circumvesuviana train station, so it is easy to make a connection if you take a
bus or
train or
taxi from Naples to Sorrento.
Buses tend to leave Sorrento for the Amalfi Coast towns hourly. Sita bus schedules vary by the season, so make sure to check before you travel. Keep in mind that Sita buses only run from mid June to mid September.
Buses are air conditioned and comfortable, but the drive is along curvy roads, so sit in the front if you are prone to motion sickness.
Bus tickets from Sorrento to Amalfi Coast towns can be purchased at the magazine store near the Sorrento bus station. Tickets cost around 2 EUR and must be stamped when you board the bus.
