Buses from Madrid Airport to the Madrid city center are one of the cheapest ways to get to your final destination when you arrive in Spain.

Bus services on this route operate 24 hours a day, so you can get into the city regardless of when your flight lands.

The Madrid airport bus is called the Airport Express. It makes three stops in the city center: one at Calle O’Donell, one at Plaza de Cibeles, and one at Atocha.

Buses from Madrid Airport to the Madrid city center depart from Terminals 1, 2, and 4 every 13 to 20 minutes during daytime hours and every 35 minutes in the nighttime.

The journey on this route takes 40 minutes or longer. The total travel time is subject to which stop you get off at and whether there is traffic.

Tickets for buses from Madrid Airport to the Madrid city center cost 5 euros. You can purchase them in cash from the driver when you board.
