Leuchars Station
Leuchars train station is the closest station to the city of St Andrews in Scotland. St Andrews itself isn’t served by rail services, so to get to the city centre, a good option is to take a bus from Leuchars station to St Andrews.
Stagecoach bus 99 runs regularly between the station and the city. It operates every 15 minutes at peak times on weekdays, and slightly less frequently on weekends and at off-peak times.
The service goes from the train station to the bus station in the city centre in 11 minutes, and then makes a loop through the city to drop passengers off at various locations. It then goes back to the bus station before returning to Leuchars and travelling on to Dundee.
Buses are clean and comfortable, and offer free Wi-Fi on board. You can purchase a ticket on the bus, or buy a combination train-and-bus ticket that allows you through travel.
