Taking a train from Lille to London is the fastest way to get from France to the UK capital when you are visiting Europe.
Eurostar is currently the only company that operates trains on this route. Their services are fast and comfortable, and offer several classes of service. Eurostar trains leave from Lille Europe train station and arrive at London St Pancras train station. Both are centrally located and easily accessible.
Trains from Lille to London depart every 1 to 2 hours throughout the day until just before 21:00. Passengers must check in at least 30 minutes prior to their departure time, so keep that in mind if you are connecting in Lille.
The travel time on this route ranges from 1 hour and 20 minutes to 1 hour and 40 minutes, depending on which train you take. When you arrive in the UK, remember that there is a 1 hour time difference between Lille and London, with the latter being behind.
Eurostar fares vary depending on the time of year and how far in advance you book your ticket. Base fares cost 50 euros for a single in Standard class, 124 euros for a single in Standard Premier class, and 321 euros for a single in Business Premier class. There are occasional sales throughout the year during which ticket prices are even cheaper.
