Trains from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris are one of the easiest ways to get from your flight to your final destination when you arrive in France.
Airport trains are operated on a suburban rail service called the RER. Charles de Gaulle (CDG) is on the B line. To take the RER B train from CDG to Paris, follow signs to the RER stations in Terminals 1 and 2. If you land at Terminal 3, the nearest station is in Terminal 1.
You must purchase your ticket before boarding the RER train to Paris. Beware that lines can be very long and ticket machines at Charles de Gaulle Airport only accept chip-and-pin cards, so the RER may not be a good option if you are in a hurry to get to Paris.
Departures take place every 5 to 10 minutes at peak times, and trains arrive at various stations in the city center, including Gare du Nord, Chatelet – Les Halles, and Saint Michel – Notre Dame. From there you can connect to other forms of public transportation and taxis.
