To get from Nice to Saint Tropez, you have a few different options. Some are available all year, while others operate seasonally. They vary by price and journey time, so you can choose which option is best for you based on when you will be visiting France and whether you value money or time more.

Trains from Nice to Saint Tropez
There are no direct trains from Nice to Saint Tropez, but you can travel as far as Saint Raphael by rail and continue your journey by bus, taxi, or rental car. You can learn more about this option here.

Ferry from Nice to Saint Tropez
You can take a ferry to Saint Tropez harbor in the summertime. Services are run from the port in Nice by Trans Cote d’Azur, and the trip takes 2 hours and 30 minutes. The journey offers great views as the ship travels along the French Riviera.

Ferries usually run several days a week from late May until the end of September every year. There is a morning departure to Saint Tropez and an afternoon departure back, so you can easily take a day trip from Nice to Saint Tropez. More information can be found here.

Bus from Nice to Saint Tropez
Regular buses run from Nice Airport (NCE) to Saint Raphael. They are operated by Varlib. There are up to four departures a day in the high season. When you arrive in Saint Raphael, you can take another Varlib bus to Saint Tropez. The journey takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes, not including the layover.

Driving from Nice to Saint Tropez
You can rent a car in Nice and drive to Saint Tropez if you want to have more freedom and flexibility in how and when you travel. Avignon – The city of Avignon is famous for its crumbling bridge, great shopping, and beautiful city walls. The former seat of the Popes, Avignon’s cathedral and history draw visitors from all over the world to southern France every year.

Nice – The capital of the French Riviera is often overlooked by people visiting other places along the Cote d’Azur. But Nice makes a great base from which to take day trips along the coast, and the city itself has no shortage of great shopping, beaches, and nightlife. Buses from Nice to Grasse

Buses from Nice to Grasse are a great way to get from the heart of the French Riviera to the famous perfume town in Provence.

Bus number 500 departs from Station JC Bermond near Place Massena in central Nice. It arrives at the Gare Routiere (main bus station) in Grasse.

Buses from Nice to Grasse travel via Nice Airport, Cagnes Sur Mer, and other towns in Provence before arriving at their final destination.

The scheduled travel time on this route is 1 hour and 20 minutes when traffic is light and 1 hour and 30 minutes at commuting periods. The roads are winding when you get into the hills, so try to sit in the front or bring motion sickness medication if you are prone to getting car sick.

Buses from Nice to Grasse depart one to two times an hour at peak times during the week, and once an hour or less on weekends and public holidays.
