Buses from Lisbon airport to the Lisbon city center are the cheapest way to get to Lisbon after your flight lands at the airport.
Buses are slower but less expensive than taxis, which are the other mode of transport between the airport and the city.
You have two options for buses from Lisbon airport to the Lisbon city center. First, you can take Lisbon city bus 5, 22, 44, 45, or 83 from the airport. However, these buses are slow and do not allow large pieces of luggage to be brought on board. Tickets cost 1.35 euros one-way and can be purchased from the driver.
A better option is to take the AeroBus 91 or Aeroshuttle 96. These Lisbon airport buses are faster and more efficient than the city buses, and only slightly more expensive.
AeroBus 91 travels directly to the city center and runs every 20 minutes from 7:45am until 8:15pm. Aeroshuttle 96 travels to Lisbon’s train stations and runs every 30 minutes from 7am until 11pm. These buses from Lisbon airport to the Lisbon city center cost 3.50 euros each way. Tickets can be purchased on board.
