Most people visit the region to go to the beach, so weather can be an important factor in determining when to go. If that is the case for you, the best time to visit is in the late spring, summer, or early fall.
During this period, the weather is sunny and warm, and perfect for the beaches of Nice, Cannes, Antibes, and other coastal towns along the French Riviera.
The late fall and winter are typically cooler, and rain and wind can be plentiful. However, tourist crowds are non-existent during that time of year, so if you don’t like the beach and don’t mind the weather, it’s not a bad time to visit.
