Trains from Sorrento to Pompeii are a great way to get from the Amalfi Coast to the famous Roman ruins when you are visiting Italy.

Trains run regularly from the Sorrento train station to the Pompeii Scavi train station, which is located right in front of the ruins.

Circumvesuviana trains from Sorrento to Pompeii depart about every thirty minutes at peak times.

The total travel time from Sorrento to Pompeii takes 25 to 30 minutes. Trains often run late or get delayed en route, so leave yourself plenty of time if you need to get to Pompeii by a certain time.

The cost of a single ticket for trains from Sorrento to Pompeii is 2.10 euros. Cheap day return tickets are also available if you plan to take a day trip from Sorrento to Pompeii. Don’t forget to validate your ticket at the machine in the turnstile before boarding the train.
