Taking a bus from Barcelona Airport to the city center is a great way to get from your flight to your final destination when you arrive in Spain.

A company called Aerobus runs a service between Barcelona Airport and the city center. Their buses are clean and have ample space for bag storage.

Aerobus coaches leave from outside of each airport terminal and stop at multiple locations in the city center, including Plaza Catalunya and Gran Via.

The trip takes around 35 minutes, depending on where you get off and whether there is traffic. Services run from 6:10am to 1:05am. At peak times (between 7:30am and 10:25pm), buses from the airport depart every 5 minutes. At off-peak times, buses run less frequently, but not less than every 10 minutes.

The cost of a return ticket on the Aerobus is 9.95 euros, and the cost of a single is 5.75 euros. Tickets can be purchased from the machine or attendant at the bus stop, or on board the bus from the driver.

If bus travel isn’t for you, you can also take a train or taxi from Barcelona Airport to the city center, or hire a car if you plan to drive around the region.
