Ferries from Ramsgate to Oostende used to be a great way to travel from England to Belgium when you were visiting the UK.
Ferries on this route were operated by Transeuropa Ferries. They offered large car-and-passenger ferries that made it convenient to get to Europe by ship.
Unfortunately, the company ceased operations in 2013 and filed for bankruptcy. There have not been any passenger ferries making this crossing since then.
