Bourton-on-the-Water
Bourton-on-the-Water is a town in the Cotswolds region of England. Easily accessible by car or on foot from Lower Slaughter, Burford-on-the-Water is a great place to visit on a day trip to the Cotswolds.
When you arrive in the town, you can park your car in the large car park on the edge of Bourton-on-the-Water (~2 GBP per hour). From there it is a short walk to the town centre. There you can walk around the high street along the river. There are plenty of shops and restaurants to keep you entertained.
Bourton-on-the-Water has no shortage of activities, from Birdland Park and Gardens to the Model Village, a 1/9 miniature replica of Bourton-on-the-Water. There is also an old church and of course the beautiful stone houses and buildings for which the Cotswolds are famous.
Bourton-on-the-Water gets very crowded during summer days, so try to plan your visit early in the morning or in the late afternoon or evening if you want to avoid the crowds.
