Trains from London to Eastbourne

Trains from London to Eastbourne are a great way to travel from the UK capital to the sea when you are visiting England.

Services are operated by a company called Southern. Southern trains run regularly from London’s Victoria train station, which is located right in the heart of the city near Buckingham Palace. They arrive at Eastbourne train station in East Sussex.

Trains leave Victoria station for Eastbourne station three times an hour at peak times. Return trains operate at the same intervals. Some trains require a change at Brighton on the way, but this usually doesn’t increase the journey time.

The total travel time on trains from London to Eastbourne ranges from 1 hour and 26 minutes to 1 hour and 28 minutes. Delays can occur, so make sure to leave yourself some extra time if you have a connection to make when you arrive.

The cost of a single train ticket can be as low as 41.70 GBP for first class and 5.00 GBP for standard class if you book online in advance. Prices are more expensive if you travel at peak times or buy your tickets on or near the day of travel.

Additional discounts on tickets for trains from London to Eastbourne are available if you qualify for concessions or book using a railcard.
