The Galleria Borghese is one of the best museums in Rome. Full of paintings and sculptures by masters like Caravaggio and Bernini, the museum holds a very impressive collection of art.
Visiting the Galleria Borghese requires some advance planning, as visitor numbers are limited. You have to book tickets for the Galleria Borghese in advance, and it is best to do so at least a week ahead of time. On the day of your visit, you must arrive at least 30 minutes in advance to collect your tickets.
Galleria Borghese tickets cost 13.00 euros for adults. Ticket prices are reduced on holidays, and discounts are available for children, students, seniors, and EU citizens.
All time slots allow visitors to tour the museum for two hours, and the outdoor gardens can be visited afterwards. Galleria Borghese guides and tours are available, but you must book tours in advance. The 9am time slot at the Galleria Borghese is usually the least crowded. If you can wake up early, it is worth it.
Cameras are not allowed in the Galleria Borghese, and all bags must be checked upon entry.
There is a small cafe in the museum, but facilites are limited and the restrooms are neither clean nor in good condition.
Galleria Borghese is located outside of the main tourist areas in Rome. City buses 52, 53, and 910 stop right across the street from the museum, or you can go on foot if you don’t mind a long walk.
