The ATAF / SITA bus is called the VolainBus. VolainBuses run from the airport to Florence every 30 minutes from 6:00 to 20:30, then once an hour until 23:30. Buses run 7 days a week and on holidays.
VolainBuses from Florence airport to the Florence city center depart from the airport bus stop outside of the arrivals hall and travel to the Autostazione Bus Italia next to the Santa Maria Novella station. They also stop at Stazione Galleria on the way. The trip takes 12 minutes to Stazione Galleria and 21 minutes to Santa Maria Novella.
The cost of a one-way ticket on buses from Florence airport to the Florence city center is 5.00 euros. Round-trips cost 8.00 euros. You can buy tickets from a machine at the airport. Make sure to validate them when you get on the bus.
