Many people visiting the Andalusian city of Seville want to continue their journey to southern Portugal’s Algarve by train.
Unfortunately, there is no direct train from Seville to Faro.
Not yet, anyway. There are plans for a high-speed ‘AVE’ train from Seville to Faro, but the earliest date that the train will be running is 2015.
Thus in order to get from Seville to Faro, you must take a bus, go on a day tour with a tour company, hire a taxi (around 350 euros), or hire a car.
Information about buses from Seville to Faro can be found here. It is the easiest and most convenient way to travel if you don’t have a car.
