If you don’t have a car, buses from Seville to Lagos are the best way to travel from Spain’s Andalusia to Portugal’s Algarve when you are visiting Europe. There are no rail services on this route, so taking a train is not an option.
A company called Eva runs regular buses between these two cities. Eva buses leave Seville Plaza de Armas bus station in Spain and arrive at Lagos Rossio de Sao Joao in Portugal.
Buses from Seville to Lagos leave every day at 7:30 and 16:15 all throughout the year. From early July to early September, there are additional daily departures at 8:00 and 13:30.
The scheduled journey time ranges from 4 hours and 15 minutes to 5 hours and 30 minutes, depending on which bus you take. When you travel, remember that Spain is one hour ahead of Portugal.
Adult tickets for buses from Seville to Lagos cost 21.00 euros for singles and 35.70 euros return. Discounts are available for seniors and children at a cost of 17.85 euros for singles. You can buy bus tickets online or at the station in Seville before you depart.
